    If you want good down home Southern Cooking , this is the place to go. Crispy fried chicken, gooey Mac n cheese, fresh baby lima beans, fried okra and creamy mashed potatoes! Perfect meal for a cheat day! I'd give this place 6 stars if possible. Excellent food!

    The food was delicious. The pork chop was fried but not hard. The gizzards were tender. The turkey wings per my hubby ranged about an 8. We did not dine in, but the lady taking the orders was nice and personable. The restaurant did not have a lot of inside diners. There were several people ordering out. The cost of the food was average but it is enough to last two days. They only down fall is the cost for an extra turkey wing is kind of high. The meal comes with a flat and tip. The menu has several items to choose from. We will return to try other items.

    I was advised to check this place out. I have to say, I'm glad I did. Service: At the time of the visit, it was more a self-service setup. You decide from the video board to what you want from the menu then you go to the counter to place the order where I was greeted by a wonderful employee. She was very nice and attentive to my request. Ambiance: It is a nice small family business for somewhere you might want to go for lunch or seem to be the customer's favorite to order to-go orders. Very nice and clean with music playing just enough to enjoy your food and to hold a conversation with your party without yelling. Food: Again, this is the main reason I wanted to attend this establishment as I was told they have some really good food. Unfortunately for most black-own restaurants, they will be out of food that is stated on the menu, and you won't know until you ask, and they tell you that they are out. Fortunately, majority of the items I order was available besides the rice. As the taste and quality of the food was delicious. Everything seem to be cooked to order and tasted fresh. I was a party of 3 and everyone in my party was truly satisfied with their meal. Overall: Parking is very weird especially if you are going East on MLK. Wish they would update the menu on the screen to which items they are out of so the customer would have a better ideal to what you can and can't not order. With that being said, wish they could have a digital board to update this information in real-time. Besides that, I would truly recommend visiting this restaurant with prices and portion of food being great. I can't wait to visit again and wish them much success in the future.
